Out and Back Again - Beaufort, SC

This morning we left Port Royal Landing Marina (one of our favorite places) Beaufort, SC and started north toward home. We had a wonderful weather window and planned to arrive at Charleston tonight and then go outside in the Atlantic over the weekend. Three hours out our sea water cooling pump for the engine developed a leak and we decided to return to Beaufort and have our trusted diesel mechanic, Jim DeMartin, repair the pump. We will be here several days probably missing the weather window causinjg us to travel inside (on the Intercoastal Waterway) which is slower traveling. We are still hoping to return to Illinois by the end of June, but as always that is dependent on weather and the boat.
