Update from Carl Nearing the Azores

Carl called us this morning 6/6/09 by satellite phone from N35 W43 06 on their journey west toward the Azores. They have light winds and are traveling at only 3.5 knots. He estimates they will be in the Azores in 3 1/2 days. He says the boat and the crew are dong well and having a good time. The big storm ahead of them over the Azores has moved off and one that they watched develop behind them missed them. He will call us again when they make landfall at the Azores.
