Return to Brunswick, Georgia

In late May, 2005 we spent some delightful days at the Brunswick Landing Marina in Georgia. As we traveled south this January we were again near Brunswick when the weather forecass called for strong winds and potentially severe weather with severe thunderstorms. We arrived at the marina to take shelter and by late afternoon the whole Georgia coast was under tornado warning. The winds blew between 30 and 40 knots for two days and we were grateful to be in a protected area. A packet of mail arrived from Loy's sister, Ruth, who is taking care of our business affairs. We are all highly dependent upon the kindness of strangers, family and friends for all the good things that happen in our lives. A friend from last year's travel, Gene Knight, from Texas is at the marina and we had a lot of catching up to do over dinner. His wife Gail will fly in on Wednesday.

I hope that you all are taking advantage of all the great restaurants (& the pretty good Irish bar) on St. Simons Island, and the interesting historical sites there.
