Spring Training in Sarasota

While waiting for boat parts in Sarasota we have had wonderful surprises. Jim Wright, from Chicago, Past Commodore of Columbia Yacht Club, came to visit us at Marina Jack in Sarasota. Jim is planning a trip down the rivers from Chicago and we were able to pass on our list of marina and anchorage GPS positions. Also Dick and Marti Clapp, formerly of Geneva, now in Sarasota called and invited us to the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds spring training game. Dick is president of their neighborhood association and gave us a very informative tour of his area. He has planted orange, lemon and lime trees in his yard and let us sample them. Wonderful!
