Thanksgiving in the Alligator River, NC
Linda made Thanksgiving Dinner onboard tonight - and it was good. We enjoyed a beautiful trip through the Dismal Swamp canal and spent a delightful day in Elizabeth City, NC. The bridge tender for the lift bridge in Elizabeth City recognized our voices in the cafe where we ate dinner and gave us a ride back to the marina. There is nothing like small town life. We will continue to Bellhaven, NC tomorrow and Ann Ringland will continue her five year Thanksgiving tradition of coming to visit Sandpiper wherever we are. And we hear she is bringing North Carolina barbecue brisket. It doesn't get any better than that. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving gathering with your friends and family. Stay in touch with us.
