Where in the world are Loy and Linda? For three years Sandpiper has sailed the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and the East Coast U.S. In July we left Sandpiper in Chesapeake Bay and came to Geneva, IL for hurricane season respite and to get a knee replacement for Linda. She did beautifully and will be set to return to Sandpiper in April for continuation of the journey.

Carl was able to visit us from St. Thomas USVI after Linda’s surgery this fall. He has a new job with Tom Bolt law firm on St. Thomas. He is doing criminal defense, wills and trusts, and real estate law. He’s also remains active in community theater.

There will be a teenager in the house January through March. We are host parents for our first daughter, Veronica Castro Lopez, who is an exchange student with Rotary International from Puebla, Mexico. Vero is 17 years old and a student at Geneva High School. Vero is an accomplished soccer player, artist, and she loves to cook.
