Temporarily on Dry Land

In July 2007 we returned to Illinois. Sandpiper is on dry land in Deltaville, Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay waiting out hurricane season. In Chicago we were delighted to sail again on Tally Ho with Bob Bilhorn (pictured) and to enjoy sailing past the Chicago lighthouse as the sunset on the skyline. Bob hosted a gathering for Maggy Busby who crewed on Tally Ho for many of her passages around the world. Maggy now sails her own boat in Mexico. Linda is "in dry dock" awaiting a knee replacement on October 3. This will keep us in Illinois until late in the winter or spring before returning to Chesapeake Bay. She says we are "CLODS", Cruisers Living On Dirt. Linda will be doing training for the Department of Children and Family Services and Loy is trying to find enough work to keep him out of trouble.
