Geocaching in Annapolis with Jim Newman

Jim Newman, crew member, took Loy on his first geocaching expedition in Annapolis. We found two, the second being a high tech webcache at the Alex Haley, Kinta Kunte, bronzes at the harbor. Jim is only 1115 finds ahead of Loy.

We have been using our GPS primarily for navigation on the water. We've finally learned to plan our routes on the water with Map Tech programming and then transferring the completed routes to the Garmin 176 GPS, which makes the navigation more efficient. Tomorrow we leave for Baltimore, MD and the route has been ready for two days. We will travel early in the morning, since the afternoon temperature have been 98 degrees. Jim has to return home to his other life off the water tomorrow. It has been fun.
