Hand Surgery for Loy

On Friday 2/16/07 Dr. Omar Hussamy will do hand surgery on Loy's right hand where he got a piece of fiberglass from the new rudder in November. It has refused to heal and has created a pocket of tissue trying to expel the offending foreign matter. We have moved Sandpiper onto a dock for the next few days where it will be easier to function with a bandaged hand. We hope to head South sometime next week. The weather openings to go to the Bahamas are not good yet, so our plans are indefinite. This might be a good year to spend winter in the Florida Keys. We are also thinking that we would like to spend some time exploring the Chesapeake this spring.
