Titusville, FL

It is such fun to return to a marina we have visited in the previous years of this trip and renew acquaintances. This is a folksy place with many live a board boaters. There are about 20 manitees living in the marina waters. Yesterday we saw a newborn manitee feeding with her parents. The hot water showers at the marina make you want to stay here a long time. We walked into town and found Cafe Chocolat with perhaps the best apple pie and coffee in the world. Tonight we will ride our bikes into town to have dinner at Dixie Crossroads, a local seafood restaurant specializing in rock shrimp. We also visited West Marine to get a new boat hook to replace the one Loy let escape overboard in St. Augustine. Linda says perhaps it was a sacrificial gift to the sea that will insure good treatment in the future. Loy used our fold up bike to get to a mailing store in town to make copies and send a fax. It is interesting to think about how different cruising was a few years ago before cell phones, fax, and wifi. Our son, Carl, alerted us to a new product called the WaveRV antenna which is portable and amplifies Wifi signals 15x. It can be found online at Radiolabs.com. We have ordered one and hope it will arrive in time for use in the Bahamas. We have also put Skype on our computer (a free download) to allow us to have phone conversations through the computer. If you use Skype call us. (Our e mail is Lwill425@aol.com) We have made reservations for a mooring at Vero Beach, FL where we will continue to prepare for a crossing to the Bahamas in early February.
