Harbour Gate Marina, North Myrtle Beach, SC

From the Wacamaw River we traveled the ICW all day with Richard and Vicki Smith on Chimera. This section of the ICW was one of the loveliest areas we encountered in South Carolina. The high heat and humidity was oppressive and we were glad for air conditioning while at the dock. We stopped at the docks at the Barefoot Landing outlet mall and had lunch with Smiths, meeting them face to face for the first time. They have been sailing for four years, leaving from San Diego and visiting Central America, Panama Canal and on to the US east coast. We hope to connect with them in the fall. We arrived for the night at Harbour Gate Marina, North Myrtle Beach, SC.
