Sandpiper is now in Coffeeville, AL

Loy reports that they are so rural that they haven't been able to pick up an AM radio station for the past two days; the dock they are at tonight has no power or other facilities available. They have been followed by alligators in the Tombigbee River, and Linda spotted a herd of wild pigs on shore. Loy also reports that his back has been doing fine.

Because they haven't had Internet access recently, they've been unable to forward map waypoints, so the maps haven't been updated since their departure from Aberdeen, MS. They will be traveling through their last lock tomorrow, and expect to arrive in Mobile within about a week. Their friend Ann Ringland will be meeting them there to join the crew for a while.
