A Slow Start to the Cruising Year

We returned to S. Carolina in mid November but got a slow start to our travels due to repairs to the rudder, exhaust system and computer. Thanks to the kindness of fellow sailors we had a place to live and transportation to stores, church, etc. Sandpiper is now at Port Royal Landing Marina, Beaufort, SC and we flew to St. Thomas Dec. 14 to spend two weeks with our son, Carl. We've been catching up on sleep and enjoying meeting his friends. We'll return to S. Carolina at the first of 2007 and hope to get underway soon. We wish you a happy holiday season.
