Surprise Reunion with Gene and Gail Knight

Our first year cruising we met Gene and Gail Knight, sailing on their Island Packet in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We immediately formed a friendship and traveled North along the coast with them arriving at Brunswick, GA. There family and life intervened and they returned to the land life, family and work responsibilities and ultimately sold their boat. Over the years we corresponded with them by e mail and kept in telephone contact. We knew they had returned to the cruising life this year in the Florida Keys on a new power catamaran. We were very surprised when we received a phone call from them and found they had just arrived in Ft. Lauderdale a short distance from Sandpiper's mooring. It was a fun reunion on the New River on Sandpiper.
