NPR Memorial Day Concert in Washington DC

We attended the NPR Memorial Day Concert on the lawn in front of the capitol building with our crew member Ann Ringland. Washington is a lively, interesting city with greatly increased security since our last visit here prior to 9/11. We have especially enjoyed visiting the Native American Museum and the exhibit of artistic treasures of ancient Afghanistan. The Holocaust museum is a powerful statement of the capacity of humans for cruelty and evil.
