Great Guana Cay

We left Black Sound Marina somewhat reluctantly. Susan left on the ferry and returned to Chicago. We made good friends there of Bob and Danielle on m/v "Spice" and the dock master Carroll Sawyer. We sailed 3 hrs. and 25 minutes to Great Guana Cay at Fisher's Bay. The water is bluer and clearer than we have ever seen. We could see our anchor set 13' down and 60' of chain out. We napped and then took the dingy ashore to see the beach and have a beer at Nipper's. This is the world's 3rd largest reef and there are miles of beautiful beach. On 3/2/06 as we were getting into the dingy to go ashore the trawler "Trading Places" pulled into the anchorage at Fisher's Bay. We have been in e-mail contact but had not seen Richard and Brenda Maheu and their dogs Max and Mollie since Mobile, AL over a year ago. We had a great lunch with them at Guana Sunset Bar and walked the beach with them.
