Sarasota, Florida

On 2/21/05 Sandpiper sailed from Clearwater, Florida to Sarasota, FL. Upon our arrival we were met by Dave and Charlotte Coppin who are spending the month in Sarasota. Last week we went home to Geneva, IL to do our income tax and while there had great fun seeing friends and trying to get acquainted again with our new townhouse which we lived in only briefly before leaving home. Attending Rotary Club and Fox Valley Presbyterian Church were exciting. Thanks to Mark Allen and John Kador for picking us up at the airport. The best way to describe winter weather in Clearwater and Sarasota is that it is as near perfection as we can imagine. Walks along the beach and gathering shells are part of life here. Of course trips to West Marine and Boat US for boat parts are too. We will stay a few days in Sarasota and then continue on to the Florida Keys and Bahamas. We'll be in touch.
